#GuyFawkes is coming so here’s an easy way to create some explosions of colour using oil, water and food colouring! 🌈✨ ✨The Science✨ As oil is less dense than water, it floats on top. Food coloring is made up of mostly water therefore once it is added to the oil, it sinks!

This experiment explores refraction of light in water. As light travels into water, it slows down, resulting in a minor change of direction. This experiment illustrates this process as the colour seems to 'disappear' from sight!
