Exactly. You're blaming a father's decision to get physical with his child because he "learned it from the white man". We humans have been inhabiting this earth for 10,000 years. Sub-Saharan Africans had their own cultural practices which certainly included physical abuse and even capture of rival tribes to be sold on the west/gold coast of Africa as slaves.
