You can’t swear an oath to protect and defend two countries. One of them has to come first — and that must be America.

Our founders never anticipated foreigners being able to get elected to Congress. Yet we have dozens in Congress right now who are citizens of foreign countries. This cannot be allowed to continue. My bill would ensure that citizens of America are the only ones able to serve in Congress. You can have dual loyalty at HOME, but not in our government.
