@AuthorHFerry @Nervana_1 I think a lot of neo-Marxist philosophers have their own flavor of this, but it goes all the way back to the communist manifesto “The Communists support every revolutionary movement against the existing social and political order of things.”

@aziz0nomics From her admission essay: "I have long opposed American values, often finding myself isolated among peers who did not share my convictions. I am excited to join an institution that shares my dreams of destroying the American values while enjoying all their benefits"

White House top economic adviser Kevin Hassett says the oil futures market agrees Iran is a short-term disruption. Apparently he means the shape of the oil futures curve, which is massively backwardated (or inverted, if you prefer that terminology). Now, who’s going to tell him?

@Average_NY_Guy Passengers undergoing unplanned combustion can address this emergency using the fire extinguishers that are available in securely locked locations inside the track tunnels.

@GBNT1952 Hold on, maybe we should listen to a British intellectual heavyweight who let a deluded college drop out, Nick Fuentes run circles around him in an interview.

@KatyaSedgwick I hope they filled their protest participation forms: Pronouns: not pro-nouns, only anti-Jews stated sexual preference: frozen water revealed sexual preference: a block of jello in their parents basement.

@KatyaSedgwick I imagine it went something like this: “Sir, you can’t go through.” “I am Cardinal Pizzaballa.” “Right. And I’m Sergeant Chicken Shawarma. Move along.”

@peterrhague @Lucius_Winslow It would be a more equal relationship than the US alliance, but there is really no reason why either Britain or Japan would expect the party to help when there is cost involved. With US I think both sides have few alternatives when it comes to dealing with China than to be allies

@Lucius_Winslow Japan and Britain are, I feel, more natural allies than either is with the United States.

@MsMelChen @swamp_ist I was wondering how San Francisco came to be known for excess of romance, but now the world makes sense again.

@swamp_ist Can we appreciate how “polyamory” in Japanese literally translates into “excess of romance” 🤣

"It is possible I am a useful idiot." I challenged the so-called "Chinese Nostradamus" and self-styled "Professor" Jiang on 'Mehdi Unfiltered' on his predictions, on Chinese censorship, accusations of antisemitsm, the Iran war, and more. Full interview: zeteo.com/p/mehdi-goes-h…
