I just got a 1099-B from @CoinList for wrapping BTC into WBTC. I consider this a deposit, not a trade, and therefore should not have been a taxable event. At a minimum, there should be a giant disclosure against this. Never again.

@JonGalt14 @The3D_ @BitcoinErrorLog @CoinList @AaveAave RenBTC, tBTC also taxable. Depositing anything to Aave is also taxable, because you get an aToken in return. Both are considered exchanges. Basically the only thing that isn't taxable is depositing to something like Blockfi or Celsius because you don't get a token in return.

@The3D_ @BitcoinErrorLog @CoinList And what I'd really like to see after this crazy episode is @AaveAave supporting native BTC deposits and xBTC withdrawals, so the transaction would clearly be a loan, and so not taxable.

I am hugely impressed. Now in a bull market @CelsiusNetwork changed the Loan system to work much better in favor of the community Twice a month we can now get a good chunk back from our BTC backed loans. Does any other lender come close to being this great? Thanks @Mashinsky

@chigrl @JobSpetter TDA called me today and told me I had to close my $CL_F option spreads or they would be liquidated. The guy on the phone seemed to think it was ridiculous. He put me on hold and talked to his boss, and then came back and said "They just want everyone out of these products".
