House Bill 1471, now heading to Governor Ron DeSantis for signature, bans Sharia law and any foreign or religious legal codes from overriding Florida courts or the U.S. Constitution. No imported doctrine gets to trump American rights and freedoms. The bill also gives the state stronger tools to designate and defund domestic terrorist organizations — keeping taxpayer dollars away from groups that threaten our security. For too long, radical ideologies incompatible with Western values have tried to gain influence. Florida is drawing a clear line: the Constitution is supreme. Period.
