经典梵文偈颂 （一）| Classic Sanskrit Śloka Series (1) 梵文： सर्वं परवशं दुःखं सर्वमात्मवशं सुखम्। एतद् विद्यात् समासेन लक्षणं सुखदुःखयोः॥ 拼音（IAST）： Sarvaṁ paravaśaṁ duḥkhaṁ, sarvam ātmavaśaṁ sukham | Etad vidyāt samāsena lakṣaṇaṁ sukha-duḥkhayoḥ || 英文： Happiness and misery can be defined in two sentences: Dependence on others leads to misery and dependence on self gives happiness. 中文： 幸福与苦难，两句话便可道尽： 依赖他人往往带来痛苦；独立自主才能获得喜悦。 《摩奴法典》里的这段箴言，把幸福和痛苦的本质说得直白又透彻：所有痛苦的根源，都是对身外之物或他人的依赖 —— 不管是物质上的依靠、情感上的寄托，还是思想上的盲从。 This profound teaching from the Manusmriti offers a simple yet powerful definition of happiness and sorrow. It suggests that the root of all suffering is dependence—whether physical, emotional, or intellectual—on external factors or other people. 真正的幸福，在于 “Atmavasham”，也就是学会靠自己、做自己的主人。它提醒我们，要在自己的内心找满足感，别总在变幻不定的外部世界里寻寻觅觅。 Conversely, true happiness is found in 'Atmavasham' or self-reliance and internal mastery. Classic Sanskrit Sloka Series चरैवेति चरैवेति चरन्वै मधु विन्दति। सूर्यास्य पश्य श्रेमाणं न मामार न जीर्यति॥ caraiveti caraiveti caranvai madhu vindati | sūryāsya paśya śremāṇaṃ na māmāra na jīryati || Meaning: Keep moving, keep advancing, only a consistently diligent person can taste the sweetness of progress. Look at the greatness of the sun, it tirelessly and endlessly illuminates the world with its energy. Commentary: This verse is part of the famous 'Charaiveti' verses from the Aitareya Brahmana. It features Indra encouraging Rohita to keep moving forward. The sun is cited as the ultimate example of industriousness—it never rests, never tires, and its eternal motion is the source of its glory.
