PREDATOR: BadLands (2025) I watched this movie not long back and I feel like it’s a tale of two movies. I think to a degree it’s a decent movie on its own I don’t really think that it needed the predator IP to make a splash at the box office. I think in many ways the IP holds it back. This is a decent film but the mystery of the Yautja is what gives films like the original predator and PREY the original framework of films within the predator franchise that and the hunter becoming the hunted dynamic of those two films. Which I guess this film has too just to a lesser extent as compared to the other films mentioned. It’s definitely not the worse movie in the franchise I’d put AVP 2(2007) or predators(2010) the predator (2018) and predator 2 (1990) below this honestly This is a great movie but I would have preferred a PREY 2 honestly 3/5 stars #PredatorBadlands #FilmCommunity #Disney

Heart Eyes (2025) So I finally caught this on @ParamountPlusUK and talk about a film attempting to do something other slashers have been successful at before such as sorority row or scream. This isn’t even the only Valentine’s Day themed slasher film for that matter. It’s uncreative on a few fronts. That being said it does have its moments every now and again but ultimately fails in my opinion to offer anything of value from a story prospective. It isn’t the worst film I’ve ever seen but does suffer from not really knowing how to balance the tone in a way that doesn’t have the comedy constantly distract from the horror and vice versa. Just left me feeling disappointed more than anything. 2/5 stars #HorrorCommunity #HeartEyes #ParamountPlus #HorrorFam
