Building an infrastructure startup means dealing with performance issues much faster than your typical SaaS startup. In the last 7 days we've fixed memory leaks, increased our database size, moved queries to read replicas, and now I'm optimizing queries. And it's a blast!

Surge is the shit! They responded to our support email in literally minutes, @dnsbty great work. Used twilio for years with my larger company but its been an absolute pain in the ass with text from your plants my new LLC. Surge got us hooked up in basically no time. At first this was going to be an interim solution, but it might just be our permanent!

Text messaging with AI is the next form factor to hit 1 billion users, I have 100% conviction on this. The fact that every AI company isn’t doing this with urgency is absurd.

For those using our embeddable inbox component, we just released pagination for the conversations list. Many of you won't notice much difference, but for some accounts with 10k+ open conversations, this decreases load times by an order of magnitude or more.

I've heard this story several times and it's a large part of why I'm building @surgeapi. We always talk about the easy onboarding and simple integration, but excellent customer experience will always be at the center of what we do.

If you need an SMS provider for your app you should check-out @surgeapi, they’re straightforward to implement and the team is super responsive and helpful

@dnsbty @surgeapi This seems pretty cool! One thing Twilio has going for it is all the libraries for the various languages. We use it at my day job and it's great but a big headache for personal/hobby use. I noticed these text boxes aren't scrolling properly on mobile. Can't move to the right

I'm trying to sign up for Twilio for personal/hobby projects and the only logical conclusion is Twilio doesn't want you to use Twilio

@nicholashutfilz Any questions about Surge? If price is the most important thing for you we can point you to some other options, but we think we’re the easiest to work with and provide the best support, especially with carrier registration.

looking for a good sms api to send text messages used twilio before and not a fan... looking at @surgeapi, does anyone know about any other options that are good and price competitive?

When it comes to API design, updates seem to be the least consistent across different APIs. You want to update a contact's email while leaving their name, email, and phone number all the same. Which endpoint are you hitting? Examples in the thread 🧵

What SMS API are you currently using? We've been experiencing ongoing challenges getting our Twilio number approved—it's been nearly six months without a response. The A2P 10DLC registration process on Twilio also seems quite confusing. Using @twilio? Migrate to a competitor while you still can. We've been a customer for 4+ years. We spent 6 figures. We're paying extra for business support. Yet, Twilio blocked voice calls from our account *out of blue* citing 'fraudulent activity' without mentioning anything specific. Sent 3 emails, called them twice. They haven't addressed the P1 ticket in over an hour, although that's the advertised response time. Very disappointed. And glad that @BetterStackHQ has other providers available.

I can afford the paid ones but the issue is that most of these available don't support/cover my country, DR Congo. Does @surgemsg support/cover Congo ? I'd be good.
