@TimesRadio The EU can’t afford to build a military. Britain is so broke they no longer have a navy because they needed the money for free stuff. Europe might last a week in a war with no U.S. or U.S. weapons.

“America is no longer an ally." Trump’s actions prove he’s no longer a Nato ally and the rest of Europe needs to “double down” on defence spending to replace America’s “firepower” says Nato’s Former Deputy Supreme Allied Commander, General Sir Richard Shirreff.

Britain just told Washington to get lost. After reports emerged that the US is considering withdrawing support for UK sovereignty over the Falklands, Downing Street didn’t hesitate: “It’s longstanding, it’s unchanged. Sovereignty rests with the UK and self-determination is paramount.” That’s a no. Delivered without drama. Without apology. The Americans are learning something this year. European allies have backbones. Byline: Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@Microinteracti1 Britain can’t defend it with no warships. Not even 1 now. Couldn’t even protect Cypress without breaking down. Proof they have lived off the US protection for to long.

@bundeskanzler Nobody is afraid of Europe. Nobody. If Russia knew the U.S. wouldn’t help with weapons or soldiers then that would be the end of the EU. Russia could do a real draft and send millions of soldiers into Europe. They have before.

@project_omnis @War_Radar2 That’s because the had US protection. They won’t be empty threats if they know the US won’t get involved. The US and Russia should just split Europe up.

‼️🇷🇺🇪🇺 Russia issues stark warning to Europe Any country hosting Emmanuel Macron’s nuclear-capable aircraft could become a military target, Moscow says. Russia warns it will revise its strike list if French nuclear deployments expand across NATO nations. Europe’s push for strategic independence is now colliding head-on with rising nuclear tensions. 🚨 NATO: If Europe won’t let us use the bases we pay for and man for their defense, we should close them down and bring our troops home. If Russia attacks them, we can decide later if we feel like helping. Withdraw from NATO? A. Yes B. No

@ObsDelphi We should take Diago from the British since they are giving it away anyway and let Argentina have the Falklands and grab Greenland while we’re at it. Nothing Europe could do with Russia coming at them from the east.

The Falkland Islands are British…no matter what Donald Trump says. We must defend British Sovereign territory, and to do that we must back our armed forces. Only the Conservatives have a plan to reinstate the two child benefit, and use the savings to fund our military.
