@callistoroll I went to Japan in 2013 and rarely saw any foreigners even in the bigger cities like Osaka. In my town in particular, I’m pretty sure I was one of the few foreigners there and it wasn’t a small city.
A man at an AMC theater in Arizona’s Valley of the Sun unzipped in the middle of a movie and pissed on a child sitting nearby.
The crowd dragged him out of his seat and beat him until he couldn’t stand.
And that is how you fix this culture. Immediate consequences.
@ianmiles Is it just me or are incidences of irrational behavior increasing? What’s gotten into people where you even think of doing what this man did?
@GFRobot@ianmiles Most of the pervs wouldn’t be into this one, it has almost no fan service except like 1 character wearing somewhat revealing clothing but that’s it.
I attended a showing of Demon Slayer in Washington on Thursday. Anime fans are largely really good, nice, kind people. A mix of teens and adults.
However, there was a small contingent there of really really really creepy dudes who made a big scene by engaging with the movie in an inappropriate way.
@AbsentInsight@buggyboisNFT@FoxfordComics I mean the thought is appreciated when they do feed you. Amazon always provided a thanksgiving meal every thanksgiving for us warehouse employees when I worked there. It didn’t taste bad either
@buggyboisNFT@FoxfordComics I worked at an Amazon warehouse and they fed us, just not every day. Usually special events and holidays we got a catered meal. By the way we were just warehouse physical labor grunts, not even software engineers or anything like that.
Funny and cute:
During a screening of "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle" in Mexico, a band of mariachis mistook the screening room for a "Toy Story" showing and started to sing "You've Got A Friend In Me" during the credits of the Anime film.
@StephenKing Kinda surprised he got canceled for this and not earlier when he wrote a child orgy scene in the IT book, but I remember a lot of Americans don’t read nowadays
@ttvDna__perfect@GoldyRiSA@LimaRomeo805@AmiriKing If that’s the case I’m not sure why you’re surprised about anime being in a theater, there’s usually anime movies playing in theaters but maybe only for 2 days maximum. Demon Slayer is one of the few playing for longer than that
