@callistoroll I went to Japan in 2013 and rarely saw any foreigners even in the bigger cities like Osaka. In my town in particular, I’m pretty sure I was one of the few foreigners there and it wasn’t a small city.

I attended a showing of Demon Slayer in Washington on Thursday. Anime fans are largely really good, nice, kind people. A mix of teens and adults. However, there was a small contingent there of really really really creepy dudes who made a big scene by engaging with the movie in an inappropriate way.

@ttvDna__perfect @GoldyRiSA @LimaRomeo805 @AmiriKing If that’s the case I’m not sure why you’re surprised about anime being in a theater, there’s usually anime movies playing in theaters but maybe only for 2 days maximum. Demon Slayer is one of the few playing for longer than that
