@KemererOverHall @sometweetbot1 @sentrapilot It was both. His ego being bruised and him being a pussy. But even if we give him grace and say okay not right there in the moment he still never did anything substantial about it until after he indirectly ended or ruined a bunch of lives. And then he couldn’t even do that.
English

@thakkman @sometweetbot1 @sentrapilot Obviously what he said does make it seem like an ego thing in the moment, but think about what you are asking him to do. Murder the girl he’s had a crush on for X amount of time in his bed in the middle of the night? Thats already a hard task before you think about Bear’s shyness
English

@sentrapilot Doesn’t matter if for no other reason Bear destroyed any redeemable qualities he might have had left when he changed his mind about ending his life at the last second
English

@sometweetbot1 @KemererOverHall @sentrapilot When I say it doesn’t make sense I mean it wouldn’t make sense for Bear to do that because it’s not in line with his character. He’s a selfish uninspired person who only cares about himself. Nikki begged him to earlier and his ego wouldn’t allow for it.
English

@skrbrr @sentrapilot In a movie featuring a magic stick. You are now splitting hairs on realism.
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot That wouldn’t be realistic in a human sense… Like hello survival instinct?? We got genuinely suicidal people who regret shooting themselves or jumping off cliffs and try to save themselves immediately
English

@VisionzTrue_ @sentrapilot I assume there was supposed to be a “Not” in there.
He should’ve felt scared about it, that’s normal. But he also should’ve let it happen anyway.
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot doesnt matter what the case is nobody is gonna kill themselves and feel scared of dying
English

@skrbrr @sentrapilot Uhh I don’t care 😭
He could say “I don’t want to do this” and follow it up with “but it’s gotta be done” because the alternative is killing Nikki
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot Uhh i think that’s just an involuntary biological instinct 😭
English

@KemererOverHall @sentrapilot Well the alternative is killing Nikki and that doesn’t make any sense
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot I dont think thats a reasonable expectation
English

@KemererOverHall @sentrapilot Wanting it doesn’t matter, should’ve just done it
English

@sentrapilot Your point is he didn’t know, my point is he eventually did know and still took way too long to do anything about it and even at the end - didn’t really do anything. So “he didn’t know” ultimately is moot.
English

@esteticismo @sentrapilot Yeah after Nikki made her wish, put him in a trance, and stopped him from trying to fix his own suicide. At that point Nikki basically had to kill him for himself. Which is fitting for Bear considering how useless he is the entire time.
English

@VisionzTrue_ @sentrapilot In this particular case, being willing is not relevant.
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot who wants to willingly die? tf you talking about
English

@normie_mineral @sentrapilot Absolutely but he knew there was nothing else he could do and still tried to pussy out at the end.
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot Not wanting to kill yourself is basic human nature.
English

No one who has seen this movie seems to understand that he did not realize the wish magic was actually real and broke the wish stick sarcastically

The most terrifying part of Obsession isn’t the obsessive girlfriend trope. It’s Bear the “nice guy” who feels so entitled to a woman he desires that he’s willing to strip away her autonomy just to have her.
English

@beesinpjs @sentrapilot He literally tries to throw them back up but can’t because Nikki makes the wish and takes away Bear’s autonomy. Dies anyway but he doesn’t get points for that.
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot that's not what happened, though? he did make the final move to kill himself, but nikki made a wish for him to love her back the same, thankfully only after he already swallowed the pills. i assumed he just didn't specifically shoot himself because he pussied out
English

@hiliktmal @sentrapilot No there’s other reasons, that was just the one thing that could’ve made him go from a nothing to slightly above nothing.
English

@thakkman @sentrapilot is this why people hate him. because he didnt fucking kill himself? what???
English

@MrsJayVegas246 @Poo_Crave @grok you are wasting water on asking if something from an account called poo crave is real. can you even read????
English

@sweetxdessert Maybe once in a very blue moon probably after a night of drinking

I still don't understand why they're introducing Jean Grey in a Spider-Man movie....
