@blakepr Why does it feel like support for Pioneer just suddenly dropped off. It was a multi season RCQ format, a pro tour format, and now it’s not even a Spotlight Series side event. You keep telling us news on the format is coming and then radio silence

@patxisanchez I agree that maybe 2 Spotlight Series and 2 RCs would be enough for a year per region but besides that i strongly disagree with your take.

@patxisanchez Pls just say that only for your country or maybe the US but that is not true for the EU / esp. Germany. We have several aspiring players that have no shot of qualifying because of the lack or RCQs cause its not worth it for the stores to do them.

Competitive system in Mtg looked good in theory, but it's losing its appeal
There are so many RCQs that they've lost value, and the RC no longer feels exclusive
It's a GP every few months, not a special event.
Simple fix: limit RCQs to one per store. Make qualifying matters again

Out of the last 4 RCQ top 8 / winners promos only 1 is somewhat played regularly. We started off with Nykthos and its been downhill since. The promos at the RC have not been better with the latest being Dragonlord Silumgar. I'm begging you WOTC talk to 1 person not out of touch.

Prizing for entry level into competitive Magic events is really bad. This is a perspective that every magic player I've talked to about this issue has shared. Promo cards are usually irrelevant, unplayable, and worthless. Why is this important? RCQs should be pulling more players
