@blakepr @DrScreamingGoat Is there any currently discussed timeline for an outcome? Where do these conversations rank in priority to others, like are these serious continued talks or just post it notes at the end of a meeting? How long have these conversations been going on?

I love how when faced with questions they don’t want to answer after eliciting open questions without restrictions they sweep it under the rug and move on. YOU CANT CONTINUE TO AVOID THE QUESTION ABOUT PIONEER. I wish this game even pretended to respect me as a player.

@blakepr @DrScreamingGoat What options are being discussed? Has 3 year standard negated one of the core intentions of pioneer? Would Pioneer be replaced/reinvisioned/dropped all together? Could Pioneer be used as the non-ub format to give it a separate identity? Give us something here not just soon tm

@Crew3Podcast @DrScreamingGoat We’re not hand waving. We don’t have any information to give yet. When we do we’ll share it. It’s certainly in planning stages.

@blakepr @DrScreamingGoat We might not have a direct financial stake, but your players as much stakeholders in this as your actual stock owners, and you don’t belittle them with lack of information and hand waving.

@Crew3Podcast @DrScreamingGoat It takes a longer discussion and more forward facing news. Here’s why: I say “canceled due to lack of interest” and then I get back “that’s because you killed the format” and it becomes a chicken/egg issue. We’ll have the discussion when we have next steps/news.

@blakepr @DrScreamingGoat Future RCQ schedules aside, what about the removal of the Pioneer Cup and other similarly scheduled side events from large events like MagicCon Vegas or the lack of Pioneer as a spotlight series format? These seem like perfect questions that could be answered now.

@IzziDoodles @Crew3Podcast We're listening, but if you just think we're lying (we're not), I'm not sure what I could say to change that.

I think now would be a good time to call this out: You are lying. And not just that, but you guys are continuing to neglect every format that isn't Commander. Competitive players have been upset with your management of the formats for almost 2 years now. Banlists take too long to address the problem, and oftentimes don't address the problem so we need to wait even longer. The power level of the game, especially for Modern, has spiraled out of control to the point where players are quitting. (Myself included) And then there's the issue with cost. I say this with no hyperbole: Magic is THE most expensive TCG on the market. Standard decks cost about $400-500. Modern decks cost $800+. All this money being thrown at the game, and you guys can't even host good tournaments. The promos are so bad its insulting. Entry to high end tournaments costs an arm, and if you lose too many times you literally just paid $100 to get your butt kicked with nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, through all these problems, you guys continue to ignore competitive formats. The only thing you guys ever talk about is Commander. And the worst part is, you guys probably won't even listen.
