From my experince, what attracted me to Linux based OS is that all drivers for most hardware like wifi, bluetooth, sound graphics work out of the box. Boot live USB and done. Whereas in other OS, we have to sometimes manually search for drivers of old hardware.

@Itsfoss From my experince, Linux Kernel has been dropping many of driver support for old hardware components like wifi bluetooth sound etc. But, for slightly newer hardware, the drivers - be it wifi, bluetooth, sound graphics work out of the box. It's a tradeoff.

Advanced libreoffice tutorial #5 Sumif function for data analysis. For most simple data analysis uses, I frequently use sumif over pivot tables. Why? Because it runs faster, updates without requiring refreshing the whole table and can be implemented anywhere in the data.

I firmly believe that school and education institutions should compulsory have linux based OS in computers. Most games won't run on it and students will learn the importance of open source software and coding in general. Moreover, AI has made linux easier today.

@Itsfoss It will probably result in one more distro lol. But seriously, all of the schools' computers should be in linux, as most games won't run on it, and students will learn the importance of open source software and coding in general. Today AI has also made linux easier.

@sysxplore Learning curve of windows is also steep but it's studied in curriculum and is prevalent that's why more people are comfortable with it. Same would be for Linux

Please make a PDF reader alternative to Adobe Reader. It's crazy we don't have a free pdf reader/editor in 2025.
