This sounds about right for the Club World Cup. No offense to TNT, but the #FIFACWC is a second-rate tournament, so putting some of the games on TNT is where the competition is at right now. FIFA and DAZN need a broadcaster to promote the competition, and TNT does the trick.

What's more surprising? Apple running an ad on Google's Android store to promote #MLSSeasonPass, or the fact that the ad features Messi (even though he won't be playing)?

The message this sends to the public is that your "product" isn't good enough to stand on its own. This is what happens when MLS promotes one player.

@Futballistic @zanelowe There was a Spaniard, I forgot his name, on Twitch who did a one-on-one interview with Messi a couple of years ago that was far better than this one done by Apple. That's definitely worth checking out too.

@thegaffer @zanelowe MLS Central committee all over this. Tbh...not sure we could have expected anything more. During lockdown I remember Messi talking on IG about how he'd been reflecting about the game, his role in it and giving joy to others. This was a glimpse, I would want to see more.
