You need to sell 250 pints (or 25/hr) just for the pub's profit to match what the worker earns. Lamb at Leadenhall? No issue. Rural pub in Devon? Zero chance of employment.

A big thank you to Quincy for stepping in and MCing my gig at The Local Comedy Club gig at Rayleigh last night. I am currently still going through the wars as I’ve had a violent cough that has also done my lower back in. Standing for any length of time is problematic and each cough is like a sledgehammer to my lower spine. It’s now bizarrely hurting my thighs too, probably some sort of referred pain. Until the cough stops, I can’t see any hope that I can sort my back out so it’s a waiting game now. Anti biotics and steroids finished and it’s still here. Once again big thanks to @QuincyComedian. 👍👍👍👍

It’s hardly my job to defend @TiceRichard. But there is nothing wrong with legal tax avoidance. Legal tax avoidance is what you do when you buy an ISA. If you dislike the specific arrangements he had, change the rules. But don’t complain that he was following existing rules.

I just had a visit from the police. I'll be interviewed under caution tomorrow morning on suspicion of malicious communication. They wouldn't tell me what communication they believe is malicious, of course.
