The fire in Waltham Abbey is now under control. Crews will remain on scene this evening, extinguishing the remaining hotspots. At the fire's height, 14 hectares of grass was alight. Delays are expected on the M25 and National Rail services from Waltham Cross remain suspended.

The fire in Hornchurch is now under control. At the height of the fire, around six hectares was alight. There are no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
