Met a physiotherapy girl(4th year student) on this app last year December, she schools and stays in anambra while I stay in Lagos, I admire her a lot we comment on each others post, so I decided to dm her we started talking so I asked for her WhatsApp number she gave me her number, so we stared talking and getting to know each other, even tho I knew it may be difficult considering our distance, but then anything can happen sha, it’s not like we are outside the country, so one day I tried to be a little bit permissive, so I told her “I know we will soon stop talking” she was like she will only stop talking to me if I stop texting her that she would never text me, this is someone I already liked physically and also how she text, so I said okay but I wasn’t really okay because I know someone who is actually feeling you wouldn’t tell you that, so one day we were taking and I slept off and the next day I had a locum to cover, after that day I came back and replied her last message she was angry, she said she hates when people leave her “unread” this was someone that told me she would never text me except I text her first, that was too much tbh she was legitly a angry wow..! She even vowed to block me when next I keep her unread, I shaa apologized and she forgave me and we kept talking she would tell me about her day and how her posting went and how she wrote a poem(she was actually good at writing) she would send me the poem, some other times she would tell me about some stuffs in physiotherapy to go read and she would ask me question on it, she would also tell me about her theatre experience in orthopedic unit and how the consultants treat them nice, I could actually relate to her theatre experience it was okay and nice, I would also tell her about dentistry and what we do in dentistry at that period she had a Dentist she visits too for her 2nd premolar RCT, I would explain some stuffs to her and also tell her about my day, so one day I intentionally left her unread to see if she really meant the whole blocking thing. Ladies and gentle men she blocked me, she didn’t block me on twitter ooo we still follow each other she no longer comments on my post but I try to react to her post tho when me I see them, she blocked me and never spoke to me again, it's just weird considering the fact that I was trying to keep the friendship going and was always the first to text her, that was too much dominance for me because I haven't been in that situation where I would always be the first to starts conversations everytime and still get threat to be blocked when I don't reply fast. Omo the thing funny but I say make I tell una, I was bored this afternoon.

@okikey @Justice__Oma Amorim didn't solve a single problem, wasn't building shit, no good pattern of play. He wasn't winning games either. He's top 2 worst man utd manager post SAF

@themindofJoshC @Justice__Oma If win rate alone determined whether a manager was building something, then Ole, Mourinho, and Ten Hag solved United’s problems. Yet 13 years later we’re still having the same conversation.

Carrick doesn't have anything to prove to Amorim during our preseason game with AC Milan. Carrick already won the challenge when he came in, bought no players and took us to 3rd position, he's even won more games than Amorim in less 5 months for Manchester United.

🚨🔴⚫️ BREAKING: Rúben Amorim to AC Milan as new head coach, HERE WE GO! 🇵🇹 Verbal agreement done on deal valid until June 2028 plus option until June 2029. Amorim has accepted all conditions and will sign this week as new Milan manager. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Perfect. Now Amorim has AC Milan and Carrick has Manchester United. Let’s come back at the end of the season and compare the two projects. I believe Milan will improve under Amorim, while United’s underlying issues will eventually catch up with them. Time settles every football debate.

I don't know what you're saying but technically clubs don't outrightly sack managers these days. They're usually just removed from their role as manager while the contract keeps running until a new club decides to sign him.
Ajoje⚽⚖️@israel_ajoje

Yes United will be saving £9m from the severance compensation owed to Amorim. This is because of the duty to mitigate in football. When United dismissed Amorim, they owed him and his staff compensation for the rest of their contracts. Most people assume that figure is fixed, that a sacked manager simply collects what he was promised in full. Well that’s true but in practice, the law does not work that way. Now, according to the FIFA RSTP, the injured party is owed compensation, broadly the residual value of the contract that was cut short. But that party must take reasonable steps to reduce his own losses. He cannot sit idle and bank the entire payout while doing nothing. He is expected to find new employment, and whatever he earns from that new role over the overlapping period is deducted from what his former club owes. So the moment Amorim agreed terms with AC Milan, the maths shifted. Every pound Milan pays him across the overlapping period is a pound United no longer has to. That is exactly why the saving lands around the £8 to £9 million mark. So in practice, if United owed Amorim 18m at the point of dismissal for example, and Amorim signed a 9m contract with Milan, the 9m Amorim is earning from Milan would be deducted from the 18m United has to pay him. Do you get it? This is why clubs quietly want their sacked managers to land somewhere new quickly. It is not goodwill. It is accounting. A dismissed coach who stays unemployed is the most expensive kind. While Article 17 sits within the RSTP and applies most directly to players, the same mitigation logic governs coaching disputes, whether through the Football Tribunal, the relevant annexe of the regulations, or ordinary employment law principles. My name is Ajoje. I am a FIFA Licensed Agent and International Sports Lawyer. I write on the Law and Business of Football, a lot. Repost and Follow if you want to read more posts like this.

Messi fans are really weird. Well Running add with Ronaldo's name will always bang
Abdurrahman Saeed@momen255

Are people still comparing Messi and Ronaldo? You can’t watch both players properly and still compare the two. Either you are doing it for fun, or you simply dislike Messi. Deep down, especially when you are alone and being honest with yourself, you know Messi is the better footballer by far.  Messi is a goal scorer, but when he is not scoring, he creates. He provides assists from difficult situations, whether from the middle, the wing, or the center. He doesn’t just pull out a simple pass or cross, he can dribble past multiple players to create an assist. He can dribble five to six players to score, and he can dribble five players to set up a teammate. He participates in the build-up, drops deep to create chances, and plays for the team. He doesn’t focus only on scoring or put pressure on his teammates to play for him. His priority is the team’s success rather than his individual statistics.  When you watch Messi, you enjoy creativity, passing, dribbling, classy goals, and teamwork. He is naturally gifted. He was born with that talent. His brilliance appears when the team needs him most. On many occasions, he has scored solo goals by taking defenders on one by one. You can clearly see Messi’s impact on a match even if he doesn’t score.  Ronaldo, on the other hand, is a goal scorer, a very good one. He relies more on service and supply. Without goals, it is harder to see his overall impact on a game. If he is not scoring, he often becomes frustrated because he doesn’t influence matches creatively the way Messi does. Most of Ronaldo’s assists came from crosses or pull-backs rather than the type of creative assists Messi produces. Think of the kind of assist Messi gave against the Netherlands at the World Cup. Messi has produced many moments like that.  Ronaldo cannot dribble like Messi, create like Messi, pass like Messi, or beat multiple players the way Messi can. He doesn’t participate in the build-up play to the same extent. Ronaldo delivers when he is being supplied. We have all watched matches where he was largely a passenger because the midfield was not providing him with enough service.  I respect Ronaldo because he has put in an incredible amount of hard work. Without that work ethic, we would probably be discussing Ronaldo alongside players like Suarez, Aguero and Lewandowski. His dedication separates him from that group and elevated him into a different conversation.  If we are talking about impact on a team, Messi had the greater influence. Before Ronaldo arrived, Madrid won the UCL in 1998, 2000 and 2002, three titles in five years. After Ronaldo left in 2018, Madrid won the UCL again just three years later, and again in 2023. It’s almost as if Ronaldo needed Madrid more than Madrid needed Ronaldo. They have proven more than once that they can win the UCL without him.  Barcelona, meanwhile, has not reached another UCL final since Messi left. They even found themselves playing in the Europa League. Before Messi, Barcelona’s only European Cup title which is now the UCL came in 1992. Their second was in 2006, and then 2009, 2011, and 2011, all during Messi’s era.  Even if you remove trophies from the discussion and give the World Cup to Ronaldo, Messi would still outshine him when it comes to actually playing football. They are not on the same level as footballers. Ronaldo is more similar to a Van Basten-type player. Through hard work, he earned his place in discussions involving Messi. Messi’s discussions were always with Pele and Maradona.  If we are talking purely about football, not pace, not jumping ability, not penalties, then the comparison is not close. Ronaldo likes the ball being played into space for him to run into. He scores headers, tap-ins, and shots. You rarely see him creating or dribbling through players to create space. He often performs stepovers in one spot without progressing. Messi’s dribbling is purposeful, it creates space, chances, assists, and goals.  Ronaldo was…next page…

Peter Obi
Peter Obi@PeterObi·
Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths, After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth. You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead. It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire. In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future. I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender. You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership. If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation. Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future. I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country. My young friends, this is your country. Take it back. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I have met a lot of people that voted BAT the last time who will be voting Peter Obi next year. I have also met a lot of first timers and people who didn’t vote last time that will vote this time because they are voting for Peter Obi. Their reason is that BAT has been an incompetent failure after all his promises and shouting “Emi Lokan” in 2023 and they consider Peter Obi the best and only credible option. I haven't met any true Peter Obi supporter that is now supporting BAT or any other candidate(this is my reality) I believe this administration hasn't lived up to the hype by its agents, supporters & ministers but I cannot deny that it's been the worst ever we have seen to date. And anyone currently supporting them is delusional. That this administration has made propaganda and corruption their trademark is evident in all the arms and institutions of government. Alex Otti has shown that governance is truly not rocket science by adopting the Peter Obi model, and while BAT has failed woefully in 3 years he has excelled amazingly. It is now obvious to all that Peter Obi is the only one who can turn around the fortunes of Nigeria. There is no better option period!

@adriank09 @UnitedStandMUFC My point still stands You don't have to sign a player who is being touted as "the best" to remain competitive. More often than not, those high-profile signings don't deliver expected results. And even when they do, they're rarely the only players capable of making that impact.

@themindofJoshC @UnitedStandMUFC Firstly I didn’t mention getting Anderson, the wider context is that we won’t pay for top players for the here and now. Fernandez is 21 and could be great but will need time as he’s developing. Secondly Liverpool won the league two seasons ago, not the last 2 seasons.

🚨 Man United's data department, led by Michael Sansoni, has concluded the numbers from last season alone show Mateus Fernandes is a decent second choice to Elliot Anderson. Fernandes won more tackles and made more accurate switches of play than Anderson, while not being far behind him on ground duels won, possessions won, and possessions won in the defensive third. Anderson was viewed as a dream signing at Old Trafford, so it's no surprise United are also considering Fernandes. 👀 #mufc #transfers [@StevenRailston]

I consider the guy my number one lawyer in the country. He comes through for alot of people
Inibehe Effiong@InibeheEffiong

In life, there are incredible moments and experiences that words alone cannot perfectly describe. At the opening of the new head office of Inibehe Effiong Chambers yesterday in Lagos, we had the pleasure of hosting Hon. Justice Oludotun Adefope-Okojie (Rtd), a reputable and foremost jurist who retired from the Court of Appeal of Nigeria, as our Special Guest of Honour. We were equally delighted to host my mentor, respected human rights lawyer and former President of the West African Bar Association, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, as the Chairman of the occasion. Mr. Olumide-Fusika, SAN also registered his presence. The Chairman of the Ikeja Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Quadri Adeniyi, was in attendance. The Head Steward of the Layers of Truth Church International, Pastor Adedoyin Akerele came all the way from Kaduna and prayed for the firm. Mr. Geoffrey Uzono of Channels Television was also with us. Popular political cartoonist, Mike Asukwo also graced the occasion. Our courageous Precious Oruche, popularly known as MamaPee, came from Abuja to celebrate with us, amongst other respected and prominent friends of our firm. We were only able to invite a handful of people due to time constraint. Oga Yenne is the brain behind this video. Contact him if you need a reliable videographer in Lagos. He’s available to travel to other places. We are eternally grateful to all our esteemed guests for making the event memorable. History will vindicate the just.
