With respect to my colleagues in the football writing industry, I am stunned that Bruno Fernandes has been named FWA Footballer of the Year instead of Declan Rice. Rice has literally won more matches this season (35) than Fernandes has even played (34).

He’s done a good job but we were already in 5th when he took over. We create less chances and have less of the ball under him, can’t be the long term approach.

@terryflewers He had a good game but for me he didn’t boss the game, Chelsea dominated us in midfield. I do however think far too much is expected of mainoo and we lose sight of his age/experience, he needs still needs proper leadership and nurturing to be what he can be.

According to Cam Young his caddie, and former college teammate, Kyle Sterbinsky. is one of the best green readers he knows.
In 2024, Cam Young was one of the worst putters on Tour. He ranked 145th, losing -0.23 shots per round.
In the 10 months since Kyle has been on the bag, Cam is a top-5 putter in golf, gained +0.74 shots per round.
He's a a full shot better, because of his putter (and Kyle).
That is huge.

@FPLfrasier I absolutely see that point of view. Casemiro wont get you challenging for the CL/PL with the amount of games we will have next season. If paying that much in wages it must be on a player who will play every 3/4 days. Casemiro is been helped by the gap between games.
