What would be especially intriguing would be the possibilities with a Hannah Hidalgo + Addy Brown pick and roll.
ND used an HH + Maddy Westbeld pick and roll to great effect (especially during HH’s freshman season) because HH is elite at getting paint touches and Maddy is a knockdown shooter. But it was more pick and pop (eg, see the latter half of the video below). With Brown, you have the pick and pop threat as well as the roll threat where Addy could get to the rim or become a playmaker herself (she averaged 5 apg at Iowa State).

Addy Brown is set to visit Notre Dame as a potential transfer. I hope the Irish are able to get her. From what I've seen, Brown is a 3-level scorer who is tough on defense, is an excellent defensive rebounder, and has a high basketball IQ. Poise, experience, and physicality to put up a fight against the top teams. To me, the Irish need a 1) secondary ballhandler/playmaker (to take pressure off Hidalgo when playing teams like UConn, Michigan that apply heavy on-ball pressure), 2) wing (Brown with the experience), and 3) rebounder/shot blocker (ND has never really had a rim protector under Ivey and it has really hurt against the top teams). The freshman will get their minutes (not get DNP'd like at some other programs), but we also need experience/physicality (putting 18 years olds against 22 years old and expecting consistent outperformance is creating unreasonable expectations—they should be given cushion, time, and patience to grow into that role of being a consistent performer). There are so many names in the portal, but maybe players Elina Aarnisalo and Breya Cunningham are names to watch out for.

He’s also the better contested catcher (66.7% success rate vs. 43.8%).
He outperforms him in multiple key metrics:
• Y/RR (3.13 vs. 2.37)
• Missed Tackles Forced (21 vs. 6)
• First Downs (50 vs. 37)
• Passer Rating When Targeted (130.0 vs. 108.2)
Lemon is better in nearly every measurable statistical category despite his frame. Sometimes it’s best not to overthink it. (Tape is also better)
