Given she had a year of eligibility left and being only 20 years old (because of early enrollment), I have a feeling her agent/team already have feelers out with certain WNBA teams that have expressed interest in selecting her with one of their draft picks. With that text in her post, hopefully Toronto!

Cassandre Prosper is declaring for the WNBA Draft! The insiders kinda already knew but she officially announced it. Loved watching her grow and develop at Notre Dame. ACC Most Improved Player. Hopefully, she lands with the WNBA’s Toronto Tempo for a homecoming to Canada! ☘️ 🇨🇦

Notre Dame (25-11) finishes the 2025-26 women's basketball season ranked No. 9 in the Associated Press Poll, up 13 spots from No. 22 prior to an Elite Eight run in the NCAA Tournament. It's the best end-of-season ranking of the six-year Niele Ivey era. on3.com/teams/notre-da…

From driveway hoops to packed arenas, basketball roots run deep in Indiana. Young girls didn’t have to dream about playing in big arenas; they did it, HERE. South Bend’s Skylar Diggins pens a heartfelt letter to the state that raised and shaped her into the player she is today.

Great list! Uche was #1 for me, but she posted about returning to Syracuse unfortunately. If they get Breya and can somehow add Talaysia Cooper (maybe a reach but throwing a bag for a year might be worth it) as that other ballhandler, then I think that could very well be a Final Four roster. But there are some good names out there besides these two like you point out.

Notre Dame wcbb fans, is Breya Cunningham the potential answer at center next year? We're going to need that physical rim protector in the paint. I really like her rebounding and block numbers. She and Hannah played on a Team USA U19 team together. McDonald's All-American with HH and rated #14 in the 2023 class. Seems underutilized at Texas. If she becomes available in the portal, I would love for the Irish to get her.

Congratulations to Lauren Betts and UCLA! Such a class act. Confidence and triumph through overcoming the toxicity and hate of some so-called “basketball fans” and fanbases (really, they are toxic/hateful/obsessive people) is so great to see! Excited to see Lauren in the WNBA💚

I wonder whether the same kind of thing applies with projecting women players into the WNBA as well.

On AJ Dybantsa's defense: One of the things you also notice is AJ has an incredibly low foul rate. While fouling is typically a negative event, the models i've seen suggest that having a low foul rate at the college level projects worse for NBA defensive outcomes. I think it's because most players with really low foul rates just aren't competing physically on defense. And that's what I've seen from Dybantsa in most games. I think he's just out there chilling for the most part, not really rotating off his man to make any plays when needed. He's chilling on defense partially because he's really high usage on offense and that requires a lot of energy. That's not going to change in the NBA. On defense, he's a effectively tall guard that doesn't get steals. He's not physical, he's not boxing out. He's not blocking shots. He can collect defensive rebounds, but that doesn't really drive defensive value. The other thing I noticed when looking at the data is that players rarely improve on defense over their NCAA career. Offense is completely different, as it is far more context dependent. If a player doesn't generate stocks in college or highschool, and isn't impactful on defense, do not expect them to improve much in the NBA. That's on average, though. Maybe players with frames like Dybantsa are more likely to improve. I don't really view Dybantsa as an S Tier athlete. He's a tall A tier athlete with S Tier skill on offense and below avg instincts/effort on defense. All this being said, I like his potential on offense and think he's >50% to average 28 ppg in the league at some point in his career.
