The actual derangement is the people who don’t realize Obama is broadly popular, well-liked, and remembered fondly and was extremely popular on the day he left office as well.
Not a perfect president or a flawless administration but better than all the other ones.

People need to understand that many of us who identify as progressive; we are progressive because we are Black. And understanding that just inhabiting Black bodies is a political act.
We can't be truly free and have meaningful opportunities if we do not confront these structures that are inherently racist.

This touches on a lot of what I've seen in Detroit. You can't leave Black voters behind at the end of every cycle and then demand fealty.
That's why we need more candidates that just run on the issues that matter and then deliver when they make it to the halls of power.

The mcmorrow campaign is so stretched to find things that differentiate their cookie cutter candidate that the new line is this: just lie! Even though El-Sayed already suggested a Schumer replacement, isn’t it easier to sow ambiguity where there isn’t any?

While Mallory has been clear from day one she is a no vote on Chuck Schumer, her opponents can’t even answer the question. Today in @playbookdc: Haley Stevens doesn’t even answer. Abdul El-Sayed can’t give a straight one.
