Effectively TVK harvested this narrative, This was set up by ADMK, then BJP then Seeman .. each time more people joined the bandwagon. Vijay did collective social engineering to harvest the seeded narrative and he was successful. It was DMK’s failure in not responding to counter the narrative.

This is the big point. Tamil Nadu now has a smart opposition and an eager new government with a highly aware youth population. The state is now reaching a new level of governance.

@dmuthuk what the bench says is their interpretation and as you know Hinduism is not necessarily a singular interpretatoin. A lot of people agree that Hinduism and sanatan dharma are not one and the same at least for people in Tamil Nadu. you can either or disagree.

Many DMK supporters are continuing to reply Sanathana Dharma refers only to casteism. I've already pointed out how Madurai Bench of Madras High Court has said Sanathana Dharma and Hinduism are one and the same. If Udayanidhi wants to try his luck, let him start talking against Sanathana Dharma in public, instead of only within assembly. BJP would be waiting for such opportunities to go to court. Then let's see what court decides. It is perfectly fine to be against casteism. But using the term Sanathana Dharma for the same is derogatory. It is nothing but abuse of Hinduism.

@DrSenthil_MDRD Vijay through his alliance is projecting center-left but his candidates are from right wing as well. He has selected to ensure every body feels they have a stake in his politics. That’s his biggest win.

@DrSenthil_MDRD DMK should operate like it is going alone without alliance partners in the up coming elections. Focus on all strata of society and not specific vote banks. DMK governance was for all, Stalin sir has been leader for all, why should politics not be so as well.

Moving forward the Future course of corrective action is going to be realignment of alliances making stronger inroads as community wise as well as Region wise. Spearheading a stronger strategic approach being advantageous for Us.

Also, do you know why Vijay cannot falter? There is already a framework for administration that is set up by DMK and ADMK operating center-left, that is working like a charm, most beauracrats know that and would be advicing Vijay to continue the same policies. You can see that from his poll promises. He will not want to rock the boat too hard, but my worry is the global macro-economic condition is as bad as 2021, and we do not have a PTR to clean up our balance sheets or a TRB to bring in new investments agressively. I am sure the people backing Vijay will be kept happy with his populist policies and Blastu Blastu reels and shorts. It is the rest of us who need to be vigilant.

my post was not about Vijay but the mindset of Tamil people. Even if he is supremely talented well read administrator his cabinet is in shambles. don't think any person in that cabinet has the capabilitiy to question the beaurocracy. its going to be a field day for the next 5 years for the officers.

The more I speak to people they say they have nothing against former Chief Minister Stalin. They just wanted Vijay to be the Chief Minister.

It is too volatile for BJP to get into TN for state politics. Their primary concern is Rahul Gandhi consolidating the southern states. Rahul feels if he can get a sizable number of seats in south and east. He can partner with Tejaswi and Akilesh for decent numbers in up coming central election. BJP's immediate focus will be to break that alliance and align TVK with ADMK so that congress is orphaned. ADMK is imploding but DMK will not. Both Vijay and BJP needs strong DMK as a boogeyman for them to win elections in the absence of congress or a weakened congress. in the near future it is TVK vs DMK.
