@millwalleio @TonyIncenzo When it becomes apparent they are a plastic I tell them I will automatically respect their take of football less because of it. They nearly always go on to tell me about how they have been on the stadium tour etc like this will somehow change my mind🙄 They will never get it

One of the most unpleasant aspects of armchair Premier League fans who never go to watch their teams play is that they will go into work/school on a Monday and ridicule proper supporters of smaller clubs who do actually go to watch their teams play. This is called banter.

@charlielfc_17 A lot of people in Cumbria support one of the bigger teams as we don't actually have one, myself included with Everton. But I still support my local team (Workington) and feel more attached to them than I ever will with Everton

I don’t have a problem with people not supporting their local but people should imo. 100 years ago, supporting a team across the country would have been absurd because it was (and still is) a vessel of identity and community

What I will say, is if you care enough, surely if you were to live close enough to a club and could actively go follow them every week home and away you’d enjoy football more than going the odd game here and there and watching the majority of games on the tv just for the sake of “supporting a big club”

@thisisAndyDavis @jim_demps He wasn’t talking to the ref, he was interfering with the penalty being taken, it was pure gamesmanship from Itoje, he knew what he was doing.

Ramos has some stones on him doesn’t he? Itoje did his best to disrupt him but TR still drained it.

@PartycowVelo @jim_demps For the French players engaging in handbags with Itoje following a warning to both captains for similar earlier in the game….as per the laws of the game. The captain is allowed to be there and speak to the referee and wasn’t preventing the penalty from being taken

@thisisAndyDavis @jim_demps Why would a ref reverse that penalty? He was alerted to a high tackle and called that, then Itoje slapped the ball forward, he gave France the option of which penalty position they wanted to use. He wasn’t talking to the ref, he should have retreated 10m as per the laws.

@PartycowVelo @jim_demps For completeness. England lost the game due to; Poor defence/goalkicking Chessum not going under the posts Pollock/Murley not securing the ball at the end. Terrible refereeing performances need to be called out and addressed, just as those of players and coaches are

@PartycowVelo @jim_demps Why? He is the captain and entitled to be there especially when the penalty was being taken from the incorrect spot. TMO needed to assist but goes missing. A referee with any minerals reverses the penalty. Wasn’t going to happen given his performance for the previous 80.

@mrtjnss @LiamHurleyyyy Anyone can over pay but that impacts on the future business you are able to do as you can only spend the money once. Has Hughes really improved at circa £200k per Championship game in the last year?

I feel like spending anything more than £10m on a centre back would be highly irresponsible. Hard to justify a championship centre back being worth more than that and probably worth moving onto other targets now #pusb

@SimonFranklin12 @Army10Sky That wasn’t my point. I’m saying the Hughes signing should have happened last summer when there was value to be had. His value doesn’t 4x if we sign him for £8m+. Rudoni’s previous move was in 2022 when we were selling players to pay for a pitch so we weren’t really in the market
