This is what some don't get about dynamic offensive defensemen. When they're buzzing, the ice tilts in their favour. Regardless of a few blunders here and there.

This was a bad season, it was natural for them to be sellers at the deadline, and they made moves that made sense and brought back significant value. Not panic selling for peanuts

The Flames are my #1-ranked prospect pool, filled with tons of young talent. It starts with Parekh, who looks like a #1 D in the future (if Calgary develops him well). Wyttenbach currently LEADS NCAA scoring as a freshman drafted in the 5th round. My model was already a fan last season, and now is an even bigger one. Reschny is also great, he was one of my favorite prospects in last summer's class, and he's done nothing to change that this season. Outside of the stars, there's plenty to like in the Flames' pool. Gridin projects as a top-six forward, Honzek, Mews, and Potter also all look like potential NHLers. Calgary's in a great spot, especially with another high pick coming this year. #Flames

@fortnitall He really hasn’t been good. He needs to go down and figure out positioning and how to play defense. These two interference penalties are prime examples of what’s missing in his game right now

Aside from the PPG he scored a couple games ago, that release has become more elusive. He really needs to use it more, that’s what makes him his best version of himself along with being more engaged physically. He played quite well in that department also 2-3 games ago and had an admirable game, compared to his usual, soft, not engaged type of game he generally plays.

Keep wheeling and dealing. Would like to see 2 defenders traded for picks, and get rid of Beecher and Sharky and I’d be ever so happy. Yegor just doesn’t fit in our lineup anymore, I’ve tried, but has more bad games than good. And just can’t get back to that wicked release that netted him 31 goals 2 years ago now.

I love switching from stand time to daylight savings time, mostly because it confuses idiots.
