Yes. The update is Jackson Smith had a great season in the NCAA. Model-wise, he had one of the better transitions of all the CHL-NCAA moves this year. The progression was nearly perfect.
Werenski, Mateychuk and Smith in a few years could be an insane top 3 D.

On Jan 12, #CBJ made a coaching change to Rick Bowness. They were in last place in the Eastern Conference. On March 19, thanks to their 6-3 win over the Rangers, they will finish the night third in the Metro thanks to a game in hand on the Islanders. 17-2-4 since the change.

Logan Cooley becomes the 2nd star to emerge from the 2022 draft (technically he needs one more point to officially be there but we'll allow it). Lane Hutson is the first.
Hopefully he can stay healthy.
I reckon' he's going to go off in the coming seasons as he hits his prime.

Best part about these types of picks... they were drafted 20 months ago. Hutson is in the NHL now, probably never to see a day in the AHL. If Eliasson ever becomes an NHLer it will be after he goes to the AHL for a 2-4 years and passes enough kids to get a shot in the NHL.

@_PureWage_ When you have a chance at a long shot of a 7th D who's 6'6'' at the start of the 2nd round you gotta take it. Not like you can find those guys on waivers every two weeks or anything of the sort.

I feel like Kent Johnson will follow a similar path to Dylan Strome. Go somewhere else in the Summer, under the radar he'll start to evolve into a star until all of a sudden he is one.
