#CertiKInsight 🚨 We have detected multiple exploit transactions on @MoonwellDeFi lending contract. The exploiter was able to repeatedly borrow over 20 wstETH with only ~0.02 wrstETH flashloaned and deposited due to the faulty oracle that returns wrst price of ~5.8M$ and profited 295 ETH (~$1M). skylens.certik.com/tx/base/0x190a… Stay Vigilant!

AWS is down and then the internet stops working. But the blockchain, it never goe ... wait a minute. Scratch that. This sector is a joke. Everyone preaching decentralization and censorship resistance but in reality ... it's all 100% reliant on the cloud.

Missed @aesedepece's talk at @Web3summit ? 🧠 He broke down the critical question: "The oracles secure the data — but who secures the oracles?" Catch up with this article based on his talk: 🔗 medium.com/witnet/the-ora…

Very glad to be back to @Web3summit in Berlin! Can’t wait for my talk tomorrow at 2:30pm, where I’ll put the finger on poor blockchain oracle policies and will try to challenge all your assumptions on smart contracts security 💣 #web3summit

Today we’re introducing the Witnet Advocate Program Season 3 with the official launch next Monday! What is it and how is it different from Season 1 and 2? Previous versions of the Witnet advocate program were more focused on finding specific advocates to complete weekly tasks after being approved via an application process. The program worked well because we had strong and engaged community members that knew a lot about Witnet working for one common goal. This version instead opens it up to everyone in the Witnet community and potentially the Web3 world. Instead of having set advocates, we will instead release weekly tasks and allow ANYONE to complete them. Having set advocates is great, but it’s a heavy time commitment that not everyone might want to dedicate time to: we get that. Season 3 will instead allow anyone to participate, choose their level of commitment, and be rewarded for it! Here’s a brief of how it’ll work (with the full article linked at the end of the tweet): We will release a list of tasks every Monday. Some of these tasks will be duplicated from the prior week, and some might’ve been completed by other community members (more on that later). You get to choose whatever task you want to complete, or even if you want to complete one. If you decide to complete a task, you must complete and submit it by Sunday and simple submission process for review by the Witnet Foundation and OtherPlane Labs (which has full autonomy in deciding rewards and submission quality). If the task is up to the standards set out by the program, you will receive the base reward and the engagement reward (if the task carries one). And that’s it! Tasks are likely to be duplicated on a week-to-week basis because the end goal is to grow engagement and awareness, and because these tasks are content based and unlikely to be duplicated from person to person, we can see net positive results in multiple people doing duplicated tasks. The program launches Monday, August 28th and anyone can begin completing tasks. Please be aware that there will likely be some growing pains in the early days, so we will find various ways to scale this adequately.
