Spring Break and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are here and DPS is reminding Texans to make safety a priority on the roads and in their communities. Before you head out, keep these tips in mind: ✔️ Don’t drink and drive — make a plan for a safe ride. ✔️ Buckle up every passenger, every trip. ✔️ Put the phone down and eliminate distractions. ✔️ Move Over or Slow Down for first responders and roadside workers. ✔️ Use the left lane for passing only. ✔️ If you can steer it, clear it after a minor crash. As you travel and attend parades, festivals and gatherings, stay aware of your surroundings. If you see suspicious activity, report it through the iWatchTexas program. Texans can also help combat human trafficking by staying alert and reporting concerns to law enforcement.
