Reddit says the test affects only a small number of frequent mobile users and claims the app provides a better and more personalized experience. Reddit is getting backlash due to making the mobile website harder to use to drive app downloads, boosting advertising and user tracking.

@Pirat_Nation One thing i really dont understand - if they are so bad, why do you keep following them? Last time i've read IGN was like 15 years ago, I just dont care. Why people are bothered with what they say, you just empower them non stop.

This is an interesting pattern in IGN reviews. It appears they give better reviews to games that "don't appeal to the male gaze," a term these gaming journos have fabricated. Games for "gentlemen" made for gamers with no political agendas always get worse reviews, apparently. I don’t trust them at all, they seem to inflate scores for games that fit their agendas or that paid them.
