@DecathlonUK Hi, I bought this water carrier, and on day three of use, it melted to itself in the tent, and ended up with three holes in it. The temperature was only 19 degrees, so feels very disappointing that the material was sufficiently poor quality for this to happen.

@ASICSUK Hi, I put over 500 miles on my Novablast 4s without any issues. Less than 350 on my Novablast 5s and they're already pulling apart on both feet on the inside. Is this a known issue? It's pretty disappointing...

@AldiUK um, 'topped with BBQ sauce'? Really? That barely constitutes a drizzle... Reality vs expectation.

@LidlGB @AldiUK For legal reasons, I would never dream of suggesting that you copy products from other supermarkets. But if you can come up with something like this, at less then M&S prices, I guarantee you the world will thank you!

Why Trump won: (1) People blame the Dems for inflation, and a shaky economy over the last four years. I actually don’t think this is that fair. Biden inherited impending inflation, he didn’t cause it. This phenomenon was global. But this “causation” argument is too nuanced. And is Trumped* by his simple counter-argument of “Me no inflate. They inflate.” (2) Trump was seen as more authentic. And less of a politician. (3) Related, Kamala was the wrong candidate. The Dems should have run an open primary. She did not do well in the 2016 primaries. And she was an unpopular VP in the 8 year interim. She was also hindered by Biden dropping out only 100 days before the election. Although I don’t think another 100 days would have affected the outcome. (4) Related to (2), Trump did the interviews. He went on Rogan and showed himself for three hours. He put himself out there. Kamala was too risk-averse. Which maybe made sense as a strategy — because she didn’t present as well in long-form interviews (see (3) above). Compare to Bill Clinton in the 1990s, or Obama. Or Buttigieg. (5) Voters don’t care about January 6 as much as the Dems want them to care about January 6. (And the GOP won other policy debates as well — inflation, culture wars). Abortion is a big exception here, but honestly the Dems didn’t have much “policy” on their side, besides that. (6) More meta — the Dems have been arrogant, complacent for a decade. “We deserve to win” thinking. Or “how could anyone possible vote for that guy”. Well they just did. Again. Latino shift is great example here. Or younger voters shift. Dems have taken these constituencies for granted. They need to work harder to win them back. (8) Related, the Dems have become the party of the elites. They used to be the party of the working class, unions. This has flipped. You see it in language, values. This was what made Walz an attractive VP choice I think — to turn the tide here. But it wasn’t enough. (9) Generally, the GOP (especially Trump) are just way better at communicating than the Dems. Many many other reasons too. And I know nothing about politics. But as a layman, from afar, that’s my intuition on what happened last night. The Dems need to take a long hard look in the mirror. And have some humility.

@thameswater is this one of your guys? 12.45am this morning, OX3 postcode. No complaints, just slightly suspicious given the timing, so wanted to check...

@netomnia Any idea when Headington, Oxford, will go live? I can see some work already underway on my street. My Virgin contract ends in a few weeks - trying to assess if it's worth an expensive rolling contract for a few months so that I'm free to join You Fibre once it's live!

@quidco @NinjaKitchenUK I've had a cashback claim denied, on the basis that it was already tracked to another account. Was told to check other household accounts. I don't have any, and made the purchase via my only Quidco account.

Not to mention the promotional pictures showed a lovely stitched-panel ball, but what we've got is a plastic welded affair...

@ninjawarrioruk My kids are huge fans, and today they built a Lego Ninja Warrior course! It's got the shrinking steps, moving monkey bars, whisk away to cargo net, warped wall and of course Mount Midoriyama!
