The Dept. of Communication, UoH, hosted a hands-on Lego Serious Play workshop by Prof. Elske van de Fliert (Univ. of Queensland). Participants used Lego to model research, teaching & writing, gaining fresh insights. Faculty, scholars & professionals attended. @HydUniv

Prof. Vinod Pavarala, Senior Professor of Communication and the UNESCO Chair on Community Media, successfully completed his two-week stint as the George Watson Visiting Fellow at University of Queensland (UQ), Brisbane, Australia during August 2024. The fellowship was awarded to him by the School of Communication and Arts at UQ. The next Research Roundtable at @uohcomm will be by Dr. Nicholas John, President, Association of Internet Researchers, and Assoc Prof at Hebrew University of Jerusalem on April 15. He will be speaking on "The Past, Present, and Future of Unfriending." 2.30 pm, CR3.

It was a pleasure hosting a research roundtable by Prof. Shashidhar Nanjundaiah, Dean, School of Media, Mahindra University. His talk, What makes our societies media-illiterate? drew from his new book, News Aesthetics and Myth: the Making of Media Illiteracy in India (Routledge).

The @uohcomm welcomes our newest faculty member, Manoj Deori @mdmanojdeori, who joined as Assoc Prof. He has been at Tezpur University and his areas are new media, electronic media production, and disaster management. Also in the pic are @pradipthomas and Shashidhar Nanjundaiah.

Dr. Madhavi Ravikumar, Asst Prof, @uohcomm was the chief guest at the Prof. Jayashankar Telengana State Agricultural University, and spoke to students of B.Sc. Agriculture on "Visualising Agriculture: the power of mobile photography" on March 19, 2024.
