@35_7degrees oh I think that happened on main for no reason lol. couldn't get more than 4 likes on tweets, most getting 0 despite 100 followers. Twitter is so annoying

@amverynorm46621 I also just think black white yellow and purple/pink is just the non binary flag on shuffle. Like don't steal their flow, I'm gonna get confused, let alone the straights that pay little attention (Also nb did it better)

@violetdiscuss removing one stripe at the bottom would balance it out - mixing two similar colors to get the meaning of both a thing in vexillology? im not sure but that would be a massive improvement

isn't the pink stripe exclusionary of aromantics? i know that aroace have their own (much cooler) flag but it still feels weird like putting red on aro flag to represent all the amazing sex we are having

@nozpauw same but I just did the whole 180 early last month and then talked to Cerelia about a whole bunch of stuff and now I'm here. Was already into socialism stuff so youth liberation was just an extra step which was supported by my love

I really gotta participate in the studies on this to tip the scales for lowest preferred age lol. Go beast mode with an age range of 5 to 65. Just a whole ass outlier to the avg 25-45 moderate

@violetdiscuss living by that last sentence fully. you have to make people question their beliefs: do they think and do something because someone told them to? or are they being unapologetically themselves?

@nozpauw I was imagining a scenario before where the lowest possible age is 18 and I have to tell the surveyors about the inherent bias of that choice and ask if they can lower it just for me. Be an unrelenting force to them until they allow it

@Rexxuser @ichthyotaxis I know there are exceptions, but I have, on multiple occasions, gotten lolicons to realise they are pedophiles. There are definitely lolicons that don't like real kids (and pedophiles that don't like lolis) but sooo many of them are likely just deeply closeted

@violetdiscuss @ichthyotaxis Yeah. I don't believe people who feel aroused by depictions of kids wouldn't feel that way for real kids, too (if they have the features the drawing has). But maybe there are a few exceptions

i see people repeat the "kids are gross and sticky and smelly" stereotype so often, and i've never quite understood where it comes from. like, i know i might be biased, but i think teenagers and adults are significantly more gross, physiologically speaking.

@Rexxuser @ichthyotaxis I see that but I've had friends say that in dms when I'm not one to judge them. I feel like they convince themselves that it's true because they need to believe that they don't like kids because liking them is a moral failing in their eyes

@ichthyotaxis I have specific aspects I don't like in girls and there are some little girls I am just not attracted to. That doesn't make me any less of a lesbian or a pedophile

@ichthyotaxis As a lesbian, I can point to the most attractive man and say I'm not attracted, yet so many people have to point to the most unattractive child they imagine and generalise all children like that as a way to reassure that they aren't a pedophile

@amverynorm46621 yeah I'll be honest I am pretty skeptical of the idea that women all prefer similar age and men all prefer younger (put "would be" and not "is" because of that) especially because a much younger partner would just be hard to have in society for many reasons. But here's a couple:

@violetdiscuss the idealized male body is clean-shaven, fit and young. older men are idolized too but so are older women, it doesn't really mean anything. but for example baldness is rarely seen as attractive.

This is also a large generalisation. I just don't know much on the topic to be frank. But it does make sense since society drills in the idea of women needing to be married early as possible and men needing to focus on career success. Most of the pressure is usually by family asw

Those restrictions that prevent trafficking are definitely a very good thing, but there should definitely be some other way for a child to choose their guardian without being classed as a runaway. It sucks that kids just have to put up with adults until they can legally leave
