@voidbulb also, do these dialogue options only appear if gale is the first person you recruit? i've never not picked shaddy up first so i've never seen it

@voidbulb I can chalk this one off to desperation. Maybe he knew, deep inside, but he was also so hungry and he did want to try if he could, that he didnt stop to think if he should.

@wiltingdecay I’m pretty sure it’s an oversight (like so many things in this game tbh) and I hate that it’s never explained. Astarion thinks Gale’s blood tastes like brandy and tbh I just chalk it up to Gale somehow changing up the scent through magic?? Idk

@voidbulb yknow i've never actually thought about how weird it is that astarion can tell that araj's blood is tainted before biting her but he can't with gale. even as an oversight it's odd, so i wonder why they implemented and then removed it

anyway i think she should never have been involved with gale in the first place, had no right to tell him to kill himself, and she's awful for letting him suffer for a year and putting the people around him in danger when she could have cured the orb the whole time. happy now.

i don't like bg3 mystra at all, she's a nothingburger character whose master plan is ridiculously stupid, but it kills me that people actually unironically compare her to shar and vlaakith in terms of badness
