So thrilled to win 2nd prize @ycombinator for building an MCP to explore binding interactions between receptors and ligands. I'm so excited to see how many people were pumped up and excited about MCPs in Science! Best part was meeting @gustaf, @hahnbeelee, @dakshgup, @rauchg.

The MCP hackathon at @ycombinator was so much fun. 80 submissions with a high quality baseline. Some that stood out: ○ An MCP to make cancer researchers more efficient at using ChimeraX for molecular visualization ○ Observee, an observability platform for MCP calls, with really cool visualizations of the call trees. Built with @v0 ○ Inbox0, a voice assistant to sift through your email, reply and archive on the go. Demo’d super well. ○ An MCP server that enabled querying anything you see on a given day via AR glasses (“what did I have for lunch?”). A working version of Black Mirror’s “The entire history of you” but with glasses instead of contact lenses. And many more. Some people from Vercel built a cool React DX for MCP, there was a neat OpenAPI → MCP converter to bootstrap faster, a code migration tool… Inspiring to see people ship so fast!

We struggled to get monitors to catch reward hacking in agents... so we built a new lens. 🔭 Hodoscope allows you to visualize and audit agent trajectories at scale. Using it, we found a brand new vulnerability in commit0 in just minutes! ⚡️ We're excited to see what you uncover! Use Hodoscope to inspect your own agent trajectories and make your systems more robust. 🚀

🌕 @gru_space is building durable space habitats so humans can one day live on the Moon and Mars. Its first missions will mine lunar regolith to construct a long-term pressurized habitat on the Moon for commercial space tourism — a hotel on the Moon. Congrats on the launch @skyler_chan_! ycombinator.com/launches/P9g-g…

I'm at my sister's house for Christmas and the Wi-Fi here is a disaster. She has 15 people trying to stream on a single consumer-grade router. Everything was buffering. People were getting frustrated. They started looking at me like I should "jump in and fix the settings." I didn't even put down my fork. I told them the issue isn't the router; it's ISP Throttling. I told them that on national holidays, providers "cap the bandwidth" at the neighborhood node to prevent a total grid collapse. I told them there’s literally nothing anyone can do until the "surge period" ends at midnight. Is it true? No. I could have easily logged into the router, prioritized my own MAC address, and let everyone else deal with the lag. But if I "fix" it once, I’m the family Help Desk for life. By blaming a faceless corporation, I killed the expectation of support. Everyone stopped complaining and started a board game. I went into the den, used my phone as a Private Hotspot, and finished my movie in 4K. Infrastructure is about control. Management is about making sure you're the only one who has it.

One of the best written articles about YC founders I've read. Congratulations on the insane traction, @Neha_Suresh_M and @vedhsaka! April is a must-have.

This is an excellent news piece in @Nature by @MiryamNaddaf covering our recent brain-to-voice BCI paper. It aptly highlights the key findings of the study that enabled a man with ALS to speak in real time using the BCI.
