My position is that if capital punishment were an option - this is the case that would justify it. Not as revenge. Not as deterrence. But as the only proportional answer to what he did. An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth. Not because I enjoy the thought of anyone dying. But because some acts are so total, so deliberate, so devoid of humanity, that 12 years and free board is not justice. It is administration. Anna deserved more than that.
