A friend asked me to work with a very traumatized young woman who uses state Medicaid. I usually don't do Medicaid because it is a nightmare, but for her I decided to give it a shot.
I called the insurance provider, who told me the patient isn't registered. Can't find anything related to her.
I informed the patient. She called in, and they told her she was registered.
I called back in and they told me she is registered, just not with them.
Ok. They obviously could not have said that when I called in.
I called the organization she is registered with, and the woman who answered could not handle hearing more than 3 words in a row before she started talking. At any point. Even after saying, "Oh, sorry, I interrupted you", she had to start yapping. Could not listen to a damn thing being said to her. Just useless yapping.
I finally got through to her what I was trying to do. "Well, I can see you are registered with us, you just need to log in."
I have no email traffic showing I am registered with them, so I asked her what my login info is. She did not know and could not tell me, but this 3rd organization could, she tells me.
So I called them. He took my info, told me I am indeed registered, but he could not tell me my login info, that I have to call a 4th organization. He only handles the website, not login info.
I went to the 4th organization's customer service website, who manages logins for a 5th, and their help desk number is listed as 111-111-1111. Obviously a place holder, but I call anyway because apparently I am into BDSM.
This number is not registered. As I knew.
So I email them. Email bounces back as not real. I then try the 5th organization's customer service, which lists neither a customer service email or phone number. Just low-quality PDFs filled with non-searchable JPEGs with riveting subjects such as, "How to find our website" and "what login means", but no info on how to retrieve your login info.
I have spoken with no less than 8 organizations this morning to figure out how to onboard 1 medicaid client. Each organization does---for the cost of millions in contracts--- less than 10% of what a real, private, for-profit organization would actually be forced to do.
Do not tell me fraud isn't rampant since the Obamacare socialized medicine system was thrust upon us like a feminine penis. And the system is doing exactly as these jackals designed it to do:
Launder money.
