1) The Penguins step up and make an offer for Nic Roy that can't be refused
2) McMann to Islanders for whichever of their 1st rounders is lower this year
3) Carlo to Utah for a 1st + 2nd
4) OEL and Benoit stay but a goalie goes

Thought there was a chance he could get it together under a new coach, but performance matters and he wasn't one of the top eight defenseman coming out of camp.
That said, in my dealings I found him to be a good dude. We'll see if he can bounce back from this.

@howaboutafresca I feel like he’ll do better but why does everyone keep saying his weapons are better this year? It’s the same guys as last year, Kelce 1 year older and rice suspended. Am I missing someone?

Re: Rashee Rice suspension. Doesn't matter. I'm stock up on Patrick Mahomes. His weapons are the best he's had in 3 years. This season he'll be back to being the superstar he used to be.

The Penguins have traded Conor Timmins and Issac Belliveau for Connor Clifton and the 39th overall pick in the draft.

I’m a little surprised they didn’t want to bring back Timmins. I thought he had a really nice sample down the stretch. Gave me Ben Lovejoy vibes.

@HunterHodies I’m really happy with this. I can’t imagine the Rangers finish worse in 2025-26 than they did this year. I think this could give us more incentive to take a shot on McQueen (if he’s there) and go safer with the other pick.

Rangers have officialy decided on sending the 12th overall pick in Friday's draft to Pittsburgh (the conditional 1st originally traded to Van for JT Miller, then flipped to Pitt by Van). Part of the thinking in keeping next year's 1st Rd pick instead is that it might be a trade chip next season at the deadline if Rangers bounce back and contend.

I also don't know how a player can be close to signing with a team 11 days before free agency.

The Penguins brass took 6-6 center Roger McQueen to dinner this week. He’s pain free. 100% healed. Was a fracture. No issues for the future.

Forget slide, Shadeur Sanders has tumbled down the board. It’s the most surreal draft storyline I’ve ever seen. Some mock drafts had him going as high as 3rd and now he may go completely undrafted. I’m hanging onto every pick and it’s the 5th round.
