@ImagingNeurosci Bold move! Full support here, let's make this work! I hope the entire community rallies by sending papers and reviewing quickly for @ImagingNeurosci and refusing to do so for those who shall not be named.

All NeuroImage and NeuroImage:Reports editors have resigned over the high publication fee, and are starting a new non-profit journal imaging-neuroscience.org This comes with great regret, and a huge amount of thought and discussion- please read announcement to get more details.

Can anyone identify the pink flowers in the top half of this photo? Their leaves look like parsley.

@firefoxx66 Google Scholar is a great resource except for one issue - it has a deadnaming problem, as it is ridiculously rigid and won't let you change names. Other 'research homepages' will. Trans researchers with prior publications under a different name might want to keep that in mind!

If you're an early career researcher (yes even 'just' a PhD student!) 1 of my biggest pieces of advice would be: Go claim/create your Google Scholar page!! 👈🏻✍️🏻 I put this off bc I thought I 'didn't have enough on it'. I also generally thought "nobody is looking for me". 1/4

Thrilled to announce the first preprint from the MultiRat/StandardRat project that involved >200 researchers from >50 research centers. As you will see, this is major milestone for our community. biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 1/

@Katlab_UCL You probably had a more extensive talk about this, but I could imagine that they are confusing the title Dr. with the Dutch equivalent for Mr, which is Dhr? We never use our academic title outside of work. Just me hoping for an innocent explanation ;)

And so, this happened. I arrive at my gate, Amsterdam airport. The staff ask me if I got my flight wrong. They are only expecting two men, they say. I present my passport. But why does the system say you are a Dr, she asks? Shocked, I manage to utter that I am a woman and a Dr.

The paper is out! An analysis of imaging data showed that cerebral perfusion seemed to precede #Tau deposition in certain parts of the brain. There is so much more we have yet to understand about the origins of various neurodegenerative diseases... pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36647226/
