We could go with a universal clock, certainly. The issue is that a large part of society works on a fixed schedule. It's more natural to say we work 9-5, rather than moving across the country and suddenly your work schedule is now 12-8. And it lets us relate to each other. If someone tells you they get up at 4:30, we know it's early, regardless of where they live. If we simply had time zones, but dropped daylight savings, it would reduce almost all of the complaints around the entire issue.

The tide is starting to turn against twice-yearly time changes. I don't think permanent DST is the right choice, but making either one permanent is better than nothing.

@remkusdevries From a fellow 6'+ gent with a bad back, I love my Herman Miller Aeron. I know you mentioned a thicker cushion but the mesh design works really well. First office chair I've owned where I can sit for extended periods of time.

I'm in the market for a new office chair. I'm looking for: - one that works for a tall man (193cm/6'4") - thicker than average seat cushion - armrests and all the other comforts, ofc. What's your best recommendation?
