There’s no law that a parent can’t text their child dude. You are a teacher not a dictator. These people are forced to come to school to listen to you teach whatever your state tells you to teach, if you’re in public schools. There’s no law that parents aren’t allowed to communicate with their child or send a text during any certain set hours. Thank God. Scolding parents like you’re the warden of their children is a truly gross look. Find something better to complain about. Parents being in touch with their kids?? No. Schools, teachers, and systems telling parents they don’t have purview over their own children is part of what facilitated MK Ultra, GATE programs and ***Epstein-esque lists***, etc. There are plenty of legit and timely “best interest of children” soap boxes to hop on and you’re sidestepping ALLLLLLLLL of them here.

Parents, Stop texting your kids during class while they’re at school. If it’s that important you can call the main office. But now you’re taking away from my classroom time and the time of 35 other students because you can’t follow the rules and law yourself. So knock it off. Thank you for your attention to this matter. What is the point of insurance, even? My glasses broke last week- it’s been almost two years since I had an eye exam, so I scheduled an appointment for this afternoon. I went through the whole process, only to find at the end that the exam itself was $45, and the ugly glasses, with no glare reduction, coatings of any type at all, single vision, etc…. Are $321. I literally just paid the exam copay, and left. So I just paid for a service I can’t even utilize, when I am having trouble putting groceries on the table. Note: I am coke bottle glasses near-sided. I cannot drive, cook, etc, without my glasses. Like- why isn’t this covered by my insurance? This is worse than the fact that dental care isn’t covered. This is what I mean when I say I am tired of living this way. What is the point of this?

There is no such thing as an “ADHD brain” - at best this is a flimsy metaphor using scientific language to infer legitimacy to a highly profitable lie. Your brain is fine and you’re not deficient in stimulants.

I keep talking about it but getting on adhd medication as an adult has been an insane experience because I legitimately did not know that other people just like. Lived like this. Like not having loud mental chatter and friction with everything ever??? Blows my mind.

My wife and I were talking the other day about potential career options for my 15 yrs old daughter who really struggles in school and is likely not college bound/material. For guys it’s easy… Don’t want to go to college, pick a trade or figure something else out such as a police officer, firefighter etc. It’s not as easy for girls. I think she would do well in sales since she is attractive, has the personality and is extremely social (spends hours everyday talking on the phone to all her friends). For parents with daughters who aren’t on the college path…what are some real, high-income career options you’ve seen work?
