I think the M4 iPad Pro is the “fastest”-feeling computer I own. The combo of 120Hz with excellent polling rate, buttery smooth animations, and 16GB RAM that just stores basically every app in memory forever makes it feel insanely quick.

Oh yeah! iOS 16.1 makes it easier and more intuitive to set a home screen wallpaper. They are now peers rather than Lock Screen being the main and the Home Screen secondary.

@gruber Incredibly thoughtful review as always, John. I complete agree that this Space Black is my favorite since the iPhone 5. Mktg photos don’t do it justice. Dynamic island…YES. Brilliant. Only gripe so far: We need a better charging indicator for the always on display.

@wmts @ns0n The further we get into it, the more I see that it’s the non-action parts that are the worst. The relationships are ham-fisted and trope-y. The VFX are phenomenal.

I see a lot of strong opinions on here about Sut on the broadcasts. There are times when the energy is fantastic and needed, and there are times when it's just a bit too much for the moment. He'll keep finding the balance. Overall, I'm becoming more and more of a fan.

I mounted a TV above my fireplace yesterday. I won’t say how long it took because the lessons I learned were valuable… Ok fine…3hrs. It took 3hrs to realize that I was only about 2/3 of the way done.
