🚨ROB EDWARDS to 🐺 There is an agreement in place over a compensation package worth around £2 million for the 42-year-old, whose contract with Middlesbrough was due to run until 2028. Talks are now focused on finalising the structure of Rob Edwards’ new coaching team. Wolves see Edwards’ appointment — a former player who spent four years at Molineux and briefly served as interim head coach in 2016 — as a long-term move. They believe he is the right figure to lead both their current fight against Premier League relegation and any future push for promotion if the club were to go down. He is expected to arrive at Wolves tomorrow (Monday) to complete his contract, following successful negotiations between Wolves’ general manager of football operations Matt Wild & Middlesbrough chief executive Neil Bausor. Matt Jackson, who became Wolves’ director of player recruitment and development earlier this year, is now set to be the club’s most senior football executive, with discussions ongoing about further strengthening the football structure.
