Absolutely humbling to host last nights World Cup preview dinner with Sir Geoff Hurst.
Over 200 people present at Bar Sport in Cannock to see the 1966 World Cup Hattrick hero!
Iv worked with many people in this industry and I can honestly say he is one of the nicest, most humble and generous person I have met on the circuit.
Had so much time for others, nothing was too much trouble and loved not only telling a story but listening to other people’s memories too!
Put simply, a national treasure ❤️

‘Out of darkness cometh light’. Four lifelong Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have created an iconic commemorative shirt to celebrate Wolves’ 150th anniversary. “It hasn’t been easy watching things unfold over the last few seasons, and fans have every right to feel how they feel,” one of the four, Kieran Newey, says.
“But supporting Wolves isn’t something you pick up and drop - it’s part of who you are. This is our way of reminding people what that support is really about. Our club, our city, our history; that’s what matters, and that’s what we’re backing.”
Profits from the shirt go to Compton Care, a local charity which offers specialist palliative care and bereavement support, and funding future displays and flags by @oldgoldpack. #wwfc. more details oldgoldpack.co.uk/150th-annivers…

Nothing shocks you with these lot in charge. This was always going to happen. The interim was just a smokescreen.

@wolvespremier Jason re your comment on "putting themselves in the shop window" - I feel deals have already been done, probably during the long enforced break and most of these players have moves lined up. Because NO club would want them based on performances and attitude in the past 5 games!

Heard a story today of an elderly lady that’s gone to today’s game. She’s on a small pension ….and today with her match ticket - coach travel - travel to and from the coach drop off points and food and drink it’s a nigh on £100 day out.
….and then after travelling nearly 200 miles that dross gets served up by players who simply have no pride in what they do and certainly aren’t playing for the badge.
At least in other Prem relegation seasons 2003-2004 and latterly 2011-2012 we actually had players who cared and were putting a shift in and went down swinging.
When the players came over at the end - some did a half arsed clap others didn’t even do that and just started blankly at the travelling support. Not one seeks to take any responsibility for where we are or hold their hands up at their woeful on-pitch displays.
Today showed me nothing to justify keeping any of them and if they do have one eye on a move elsewhere and they believe they are putting themselves in a shop window …then they need to hope any potential suitors have their blinkers on.

@wolvespremier @_AlwaysWolves @kmenzies29 I have a “ whats the point now” kind of feeling , 2 big wins wont make up at all for this woeful season

“It's been a long season. It's been very tough. We wanted to have a good finish. It's always important to finish well, we know we have two more games, one at home, and then we go away, and we need to do it for our fans, not just for the players. We could see it on Saturday, they’d been travelling hours and hours just to come and support us. We always play for them as well and I’m sorry, of course, for the travelling fans, coming here and seeing the result that happened.”
