For the retards who think I based my post on this one clip, and having been following things, let me explain. China: - LM10 only needs two launches to get humans to the moon. - LM10 has already demonstrated several successful orbital flight, with zero failures. - They already have a Lunar Lander undergoing final testing and simulated landings - They have already successfully landed 4 probes, including one sample return. Zero failures. - They are doing a very similar small scale human mission similar to Apollo, they are keeping it simple. - They have a ton of experience in space and their own space station. As for the US: - Starship requires an utterly absurd dozen+ launches to get one crewed flight to the moon. Any failure along the way will delay the whole mission a long time. - SpaceX human lunar lander is nowhere to be seen. - Blue Origin have been very promising, but have had the recent setback that delayed things a fair bit. The Non-crewed BM1 lander hasn't proven itself yet. - Does the Blue Origin BM2 human lander even physically exist yet apart from a mockup? - If Starship fails to deliver as a transport vehicle in any way then they will be playing catch-up with some Falcon heavy BM2 system. I'm sorry, I want the US to win the race again, but from what I see, China is currently ahead in the race of getting humans back to the moon. They have the simpler mission profile, proven lunar landings, a supposedly almost finished human lunar lander undergoing simulated landings, and less things to go wrong. The US on the other hand are making a WAY bigger bet in terms of goals and have a WAY bigger risk of failure in a race. And that's great of course for long term goals, and the US are clearly in the lead if we are talking long term goals and a human lunar outpost, but we aren't talking about that, we are just talking a simple race to get humans back on the moon. In that case China would have to be in the lead to do that from a purely odds perspective. As always, any failures can change those odds dramatically.

I don't want to black pill everyone, but I'm 90% sure China is going to beat America back to the moon.

A white co-worker at my old job told me that she didn't believe racism was as big of a deal as ppl made it out to be until she started dating a black man. They saw a woman getting beat by a man on the street and called the cops. Her boyfriend told her they should leave because when the cops arrive they will think HE is the suspect. She thought he was being paranoid about racism and waived off his concern. The police pulled up quickly and drew their weapons on him immediately. She had to jump in front of him and beg the police not to shoot and told them the man beating the woman is the WHITE guy a hundred feet away from them. She broke down crying when she told me this and said she never felt so ignorant in her life and didn't know how she went 40+ years as a parent whose kids had several black friends who she would always invite over but recognized she still never understood the racial reality they faced until that moment. She said it caused a crisis inside of her and she had to ask herself some very hard questions for a while but came out on the other side more educated and understanding.
