@davidsirota The 2009 speech by Obama regarding bailing out the banks and telling Main Street that their desire to be bailed out was dumb because of the "velocity of money" and the banks would know better what to do with it, was another key point along this path toward Trump Part Deux.

Under Democratic presidents, NAFTA was rammed through Congress, a populist election mandate was turned into a bankers' rescue while 10 million people got foreclosed on & then pandemic benefits were ripped away from millions of people. Republicans arent better. But this happened.
