If we really believe in equal justice: Ramaphosa steps down today. Malema serves his 5-year sentence and gets expelled from Parliament. Anything less is just political theatre.

Why would President Ramaphosa lose sleep over Phala Phala now? The man has about 16 months left. ANC has a conference next year.

He formed the Madlanga commission, which we see now that many criminals are arrested, and now some want him out because of that. He also formed the Zondo Commission, which we all saw many faces appeared, and some were arrested and billions recovered. That is what the good President

30 years ago, Mubikwa presented the constitution for adoption. Today, the CC used same constitution to find certain rules of the NA to be unconstitutional affirming its strength. The ANC accepted it with its flaws then, and are duty bound to accept the CC ruling today.

Please remind me - when the court found #JuliusMalema guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, discharging a firearm in a built-up area, and reckless endangerment - Did he resign? I cannot remember?

So the panel report will now go to the impeachment committee, which could still terminate the impeachment process at that stage. What was gained by this judgement, besides the ability to score cheap political points during the enquiry?

"Many people are saying that Ramaphosa must step down, but they don't have a candidate to replace him. Can you name a candidate you think would do a better job than Cyril right now, and back it up with facts? I can share my own facts about Cyril. I am not affiliated with any political party 🙅🏼‍♂️—I simply serve the government of the day

We live in a country where a criminally convicted person hasn’t resigned from the National Assembly but calling for another person to resign from the presidency because he can’t focus on being a president and also on the impeachment process.

Abantu. Resignation on what basis? The CC found no wrongdoing. No impeachment committe has found wrongdoing. Parliament, yes. But even then, from the little I’ve seen re minority judgments, some salient points made I’m not sure I disagree with. Gonna make some good reading.
Puti@Puti_it_in

Exactly! Even intellectual wannabes with lousy PhDs are calling for the resignation of the president as if he has been found guilty.

The Constitutional Court did not rule that Ramaphosa is guilty of corruption or wrongdoing. The ruling focused on whether Parliament followed the Constitution correctly when it used its majority vote in 2022 to stop the process.
