This is the stage where real stars are made. I understand that life’s experiences may have made you fall in love with the club in Turkey, especially considering what you went through growing up without the kind of love and support every child deserves. You had to fight your way out and become who you are today. What Gala is showing you may feel like the love you missed, but don’t let that cloud your judgment. You are a professional and one of the best Nigerian exports in recent memory. But the best players play in the best leagues in the world. I don’t know what legacy you believe you can build at a club in Turkey that doesn’t command global attention, but you are doing your professional career a disservice. Let this summer be your opportunity to secure a move to a top league. Leave Turkey for players like Onuachu and others. That is their level, not yours. Go and compete with the very best. That is your ceiling. You don’t have unlimited time in your career, especially with how fast club football evolves. Make the move before it’s too late. Again, your legacy in Turkey will not be widely remembered beyond its borders. The moment another striker emerges, attention shifts. Also, stop using giveaways to silence those who should be telling you the truth. Impecunious influencers will always say what you want to hear; they will never be truthful with you. Follow Lookman’s path, stay humble, and secure your next big move while you still can.

BREAKING!!!! Favour Ofili 🇳🇬 has been DENIED a transfer of allegiance from Nigeria to 🇹🇷 Türkiye by World Athletics. The decision states that approving the transfer would compromise key Council imperatives, including protecting the credibility of national representative competitions and preventing the systematic recruitment of overseas athletes for Olympic representation. Her case was reviewed as part of 11 applications submitted by the Türkiye Athletics Federation, which World Athletics determined were linked to a government-led recruitment strategy aimed at strengthening teams ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Despite being granted Turkish citizenship and signing a lucrative club contract, Ofili remains ineligible to represent Türkiye in National Representative Competitions such as the World Championships or Olympic Games. She may still compete in one-day meetings in a personal or club capacity. The decision can be reconsidered and appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The keke I entered this morning, the driver received a call about his wife’s death and the poor man just burst into tears. He had to drop me halfway and was talking through tears about going to sell his tyre to complete her hospital bills. It was so heartbreaking.
