“It will be the whole world, all of Ethereum coming over to Mumbai, and being able to see the spirit of Ethereum right there.” @kanishkkhurana

We spoke with @suraj_sharma14 from @Lucknow_DAO about why ecosystems grow when local context meets consistent effort. 👇
“Talent in India is not limited to metros. I’ve seen curious and capable developers who just lacked early exposure to protocols, grants and global conversations.
Ethereum gives us open access, open source code, open communities, open coordination. That permissionless layer is powerful.
One challenge was sustaining momentum in a non-metro city. Early on, turnout was small, and awareness was limited. But we kept hosting focused sessions, protocol workshops, hack days, and, over time, builders began shipping, joining global hackathons, contributing to ecosystems, and even attending Devcon themselves.
Ecosystems grow when context meets consistency.
If you create the right environment, local talent compounds into global impact.” 🇮🇳 📍

So .. @EFDevcon has this thing called DIPs (Devcon Improvement Proposals) where you can propose ideas for initiatives you wanna run and make suggestions for things you wanna add to the event or changes you wanna make.
Separately, there’s also community hubs which are spaces around topics entirely hosted by the community
Well I had an opportunity to sit down with @OrnellaWeb3 last month at @ethmumbai and got insight into ways you can get involved with Devcon. Here’s a clip:

We spoke with @raopreetam_ from @QuillAudits_AI about why security is the foundation that allows innovation to survive, and how he’s helping Ethereum mature from India. 👇
“I see Ethereum as the first truly decentralized operating system—anyone can build anything on it. But an open OS without security doesn’t scale. Security is the foundation that allows innovation to survive, and that’s where our work matters.
This is personal for me. I’ve been in Web3 security for over eight years, long before it was popular in India.
In India, blockchain is often viewed through the lens of scams and hacks. We actively work with government bodies and cybersecurity cells to educate, investigate incidents, and show that Web3 can be built responsibly.
What I’ve learned is simple: trust isn’t claimed in Web3—it’s earned through consistent, rigorous security work. And that’s exactly what we’re here to do.” ✨
