Toronto Police Arrest Suspect in Human Trafficking Investigation Toronto Police have announced an arrest following a human trafficking investigation launched in late March 2026. According to the Toronto Police Service, members of its Human Trafficking Enforcement Team began investigating after identifying a suspected trafficking situation involving an adult female victim. Investigators allege the accused used deception, coercion, and control to exploit the victim. Police say the suspect managed online advertisements for sexual services featuring the victim, arranged meetings with clients, and transported her to those encounters. Authorities also allege that most of the money earned was taken by the accused. The investigation further claims the victim was supplied with illicit drugs, including cocaine, which police say was used as a means of maintaining control over her. Officers located the victim and initiated a criminal investigation, leading to the arrest.
